Attachment Opportunities

Internship Programme

Objectives
The Internship Programme is designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills and experience for junior entry-level positions, addressing the ongoing demand for trained talent in the Country.

Recruitment
Unlike the attachment programme, which targets university students not immediately available, the Internship Programme is open to job applicants who meet standard employment criteria but for whom no immediate vacancies exist. Only fully qualified individuals with relevant qualifications are eligible to apply; students are not eligible.

Number of Interns
Will depend on departmental requirements.

Operation
Interns will be given three months contracts with either party able to terminate the arrangement by providing seven days' notice. They will receive a monthly allowance in line with the Staff Policy for internship students.

The HR department will coordinate and manage the Programme and all applications will be directed to them.

Upon reporting for work, interns will not undergo an induction program. Instead, they will be immediately assigned to a workstation with specific duties and will report directly to a manager

The Internship Programme is designed as a reliable method to assess qualified candidates over an extended period. Additionally, it serves as a Community Service initiative, offering applicants valuable work experience while they seek suitable employment opportunities.

Applications for internship places should be hand-written and sent to the HR Department, Kericho Water and Sanitation Company, P.O. Box 1379-20200,Kericho, together with supporting documents or e-mailed to hr@kewasco.co.ke
